René Spiliers

René can look back on more than 30 experience in the financial sector. He started his career in stock trading and then progressed to become a private banker and later still director of Private Banking. He guided many entrepreneurs in structuring and optimally managing family wealth, which gave him a privileged view of the Belgian entrepreneurial landscape.

René acquired Corporate Finance expertise at the investment bank Degroof. He helped facilitate the growth of companies through private placement issues. He was also involved in M&A files and was successful in fund raising for various private equity funds. Before moving to the world of independent Corporate Finance advice, René was a member of the commercial management committee and the credit committee of ABN Amro Private Banking Belgium.

Like David Donkers and Ferdi Renier, he was a partner at Finwise before co-founding Capitalize.
