You are employed in an SME, often in a management position.
After consultation - or just intuitively - you believe that participating in the capital of the SME offers various opportunities.
You think that you can seize these opportunities just for yourself as a sole investor or together with one or more fellow investors - whether or not already employed in the company.
How should you best approach this? What information do you need to have before starting conversations with the owner? Which homework should you have already done?
How much will it all cost? Will the purchase price have to be paid immediately or does the owner agree to a payment by instalments?
Where do you get the money? Your own resources ? Co-invest together with friendly investors / silent partners? By means of a so-called Vendor Loan? Bank financing? What percentage does the bank usually want to lend?
Capitalize provides answers to these and many other questions raised during the process. We can introduce you to other prospective investors - silent or active - in case you prefer not to travel the rest of the way alone, but do not yet know the right partner to ally with ...

For some time, you have been thinking about taking the step towards entrepreneurship. However ... you haven't come across the right company yet.
You may already have found one or more like-minded investors that are willing to join a company together with you.

Silent Investor
You have decided to set aside part of your financial assets for an investment in a smooth-running SME with nice perspectives.
However, for many reasons, you no longer wish to manage the concerned company yourself. More appealing is an advisory role or a seat on the board of directors of that same company.
Equity stakes are considered for amounts from € 50,000 and up or - if desired - a multiple thereof. Whether or not within a group of investors, complemented or not with other equally minded silent investors.
Potential returns that are a multiple of what your private banking portfolio generates, which makes sense for these riskier direct investments in an SME.
But where can you find such a company? Isn't everyone looking for that? And shouldn't you have very large capital for that?
Capitalize provides answers to these and many other questions raised. Frequently, we are involved in transactions where the existing owner-manager of the company wishes to secure part of its already built-up assets through a partial sale. Then an OBO could bring the ideal solution. You, as a silent partner, become the missing link.
