Ferdi Renier

Ferdi pursued a varied career at Generale Bank, later Fortis, focusing on family and medium-sized companies, first in support of their international trade, later in his position at Corporate Finance where he was responsible for M&A transaction advisory services.

Subsequently, at the level of Private Banking and Wealth Management, both at the former Belgian Fortis Bank and at Merrill Lynch, an American investment bank, he provided investment services to entrepreneurs and companies.

Before founding Capitalize together with David Donkers and René Spiliers, he co-built a successful Private Equity fund that aimed to invest in and to solve the succession planning of family owned businesses, he was an advisor in the development of the Corporate Finance Department of Baker Tilly Belgium and was partner at Finwise.

So he demonstrated entrepreneurial and driven skills, with specialty and expertise in the family business segment.
